Description Job Description: Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and schedules daily tasks and uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
Specifics include: This management/program management position will be reporting to the Atom(TM) Post-Silicon Platform Validation and Emulation (PVE) Manager in Austin. Responsibilities include but are not be limited to: + Driving planning, decision making and execution across the validation functions and sites (Austin, Penang, Bangalore). Interface with additional Intel sites is included. + Creating and delivering regular program reviews with VPs and senior management and the division and group level. + Benchmarking validation efficiency internally and externally. + Managing strong internal and external networks, able to comfortably influence at the Division and Group Staff level. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering is required. An advanced degree in engineering or preferably in management is desired. The successful candidate must have 10+ years of management or program management experience. Networking within the Intel and external post silicon teams is a plus. The candidate must have demonstrated Intel's leadership traits including setting the pace and executing to drive strong results. The experience must include a few years of post silicon validation experience. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing cross functional, cross-geography teams to deliver product solutions. The candidate must have demonstrated skills in influence of all levels in the organization, across all functional areas and across division/group boundaries. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.
